White, William
(1748-1836) Уайт, Уильям
Религиозный деятель. В 1789 при его активном участии все существовавшие англиканские конгрегации в Америке объединились в самостоятельную Протестантскую епископальную церковь [Protestant Episcopal Church], отделившись тем самым от английского епископата. С 1795 был Председательствующим епископом Церкви. Автор ряда трудов по теологии и истории церкви в США
